Two researchers from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU) and the Leibniz-Zentrum für Archäologie (LEIZA) in Germany have looked at factors driving these dynamics. Using a mathematical model, they analyzed the interplay between population size, production capacity and information exchange.
